FAQsI don’t like the presenter I signed up for, can I change my class?
You may only change a class you signed up for previously by visiting the conference registration desk.  You must physically go to the conference registration desk, inquire about other sessions you can move to.  The registration staff will move you in our database and supply you with a change form to show the door monitor of your new session.  Without the change form, the door monitor has been instructed not to allow you to enter, even if there are seats available.  Also, you must sign in on the class sign in sheet.  Please handwrite your name, CAMFT ID # and license# on the sign-in form.

When will I be able to book my hotel room at the conference discounted rate?
Now!  CAMFT’s room block usually sells out quickly.  Click here to book you hotel reservations at the host hotel, The Hyatt Regency Orange County for you and your staff.

Are there group discount rates for the Conference?
CAMFT offers a 10% discount on groups of 10 or more.  Registration forms for your entire group and payment must be turned in all together in order to receive the discount.  Please contact mmuro@camft.org with any group discount questions or to register your group.

What is the cancellation policy for the Conference?
Requests for refunds must be made in writing and received by CAMFT on or before Friday, April 20, 2018. The Administrative fee for cancellation shall be $25 for each d ay of a paid event. This fee will be deducted for cancellation of any p aid event through the cancellation deadline. There will be no refunds on requests received after Friday, April 20, 2018.

Is there parking at the Hyatt Hotel?
Discounted self-parking is offered at a discounted rate of $15.00 per day to CAMFT Conference day attendees, and $15 per night for overnight attendees.  Only one car per room, per night. Overnight guests enjoy in and out privileges.

Is there public transportation in Garden Grove?
Yes, you have multiple options for public transportation. Orange County Transit Authority provides bus service. Using the link to OCTA, just input your start and end addresses and OCTA will map out the transit route for you.

Are children allowed at CAMFT’s Conferences?
Children are not allowed especially in the workshops rooms or where alcohol is being served. 

Is alcohol served at CAMFT’s Conferences?
Alcohol will only be served during the Thursday night Welcome Reception hours.

I read that there is a Welcome Reception on Thursday evening – can you explain?
The Welcome Reception takes place Thursday evening and all registered attendees are welcome to join in the festivities! Included at no charge is a buffet and a complimentary drink, and there is also a cash bar available.

Can I attend the MFT Associate Job Fair?
If you are a Clinical member you may not attend the MFT Associate Job Fair.   If you are an MFT Associate or student and purchased conference registration that has you onsite on Saturday, you are more than welcome to attend the MFT Associate Job Fair.  MFT Associates may also attend the Job Fair if they purchased the specially discounted MFT Associate Package for Saturday at $129.

Is there a secured storage area for the conference attendees to use?
CAMFT will not be responsible for holding personal items for attendees.  If you must check out please store your luggage with the Bell Desk.

Is the Convention Center handicap accessible?
Yes.  All building entrances are designated as accessible. Pathways to the food stores and shopping area within the hotel lobby are accessible. All restrooms are accessible.

What meals are included in the conference registration fees?
Meals included with the full package registration fee or daily registration fee are the Welcome Reception, Breakfast each day, Sponsored Complimentary Lunch Thursday and Friday, and Afternoon Power Breaks on Thursday and Friday.

Can my spouse join me in the conference meeting rooms?
Seats in sessions can be hard to find in some session rooms especially the popular topics and presenters.  Therefore, unless there is a special need, no one can attend the workshops or functions with you.

Where can I buy Educational Foundation raffle tickets onsite?
Several of our Board Members will be walking around selling raffle tickets or you can purchase them from the conference registration desk.

How much do the Education Foundation raffle tickets cost?
One ticket is $5 or you can purchase your height in tickets for $20.

When is the Education Foundation raffle drawing?
The Educational Foundation raffle prize drawing will take place at the Annual Membership Meeting on Saturday between 8:00am and 10:00 am.

If I am not a member can I attend the Annual Membership Meeting and the PAC Luncheon?
No, only member of CAMFT may attend these functions.

If I am CAMFT member and am not attending the conference, can I attend the Annual Membership Meeting?
Yes you can.  Just show register for the meeting and show up.

If I didn’t pre-register for the PAC Luncheon, can I buy a ticket onsite?
YES!  A limited number of tickets will be available until they run out.

What is the book signing schedule? 
Mentor Books is the onsite bookstore.  Please check with the bookstore onsite to find out their book signing schedule.

How do I find out if other attendees are interested in meeting and dining together?
We know sometimes coming to a conference alone can feel daunting. This year we are introducing the Meet Up for Dinner Junction, where you can meet up with other members, pick from the many wonderful local restaurants, and enjoy a great meal, good conversation and possibly make a new friend. 

Can I purchase tickets on-site for the Thursday speaker luncheon and Friday Educator’s luncheon?
Guarantees for these lunches were given 72 hours in advance so tickets will not be available on site for these two Luncheons.

How do I donate my artwork for the PAC Luncheon Art Silent Auction?

Complete the intake form and return to CAMFT by the deadline.  All profits from the silent auction sale will benefit CAMFT’s State PAC.

If I want to place a last minute Silent Auction bid, how can I do that?

Silent Auction artwork and bid sheets will be on display in the exhibit hall Thursday and Friday.  On Saturday, a last-minute bid can be made by attending the PAC Luncheon where the artwork will be displayed one final time.
