Executive Director
Mary Riemersma, a Certified Association Executive (CAE), has been Executive Director for the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) for twenty-five years.  Additionally, she has been in the business of managing associations for over forty years.  She holds an MBA, an MS, and a BA from Arizona State University.

Mary is the Chief Executive Director for CAMFT, a nearly 30,000 member California-based organization. CAMFT represents the interests of California licensed marriage and family therapists. The organization has a budget of approximately $4 million and a staff of eighteen.

She has been active in a number of leadership roles within various professional associations including having served on the Board of the American Society of Association Executives, past chair of the California Federation of Association Executives, past chair of the California Society of Association Executives where she was recognized in 2000 as their Outstanding Association Executive, and past president of the San Diego Society of Association Executives. She has also been recognized as an ASAE Fellow, is currently serving on the US Chamber Institute for Organization Management’s Board of Trustees, and is Past President of the California Coalition for Mental Health. She has been recognized as a CAMFT Honorary Distinguished Member and was awarded AAMFT’s Distinguished Service Honor.

Shawn Talbot answers questions about CAMFT's self-study program, scholarships/honors, Certified Supervisor Program, CAMFT Educational Foundation, CAMFT Trauma Response Network and member benefits such as MBNA credit card, Hertz/Alamo car rental discounts and insurance providers.

Accounting and Chapter Relations Assistant
