On behalf of the Conference Committee: Kenneth Bachrach, PhD; Ellyn Bader, PhD; Barbara Griswold, MS; Patrick Healy, MA; Stephanie Thal, MA; Brian Vance, MS; Jim Walt, MA; and Stephen Weiner, PhD, I would like to welcome you to CAMFT’s 44th Annual Conference, Controversy: Current Debates in a Changing Profession, at the Marriott Los Angeles Airport Hotel, May 1-4, 2008.

The "Controversy" theme is quite provocative and is designed to push your sensibilities on the great ethical and practical debates of the day. The Conference Committee has a power-packed line-up of presenters whose positions on these issues will broaden your horizons, give you new perspectives, and further define your stance on the complex issues that confront our profession each and every day. The conference will also provide a variety of “nuts and bolts” types of workshops. I've served on a number of conference committees, and this is the conference that really hits a home-run with me. Finally, both sides of the issues will be articulated and by the best thinkers in the field!
