Deeply! Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Hypnosis isn’t a therapy in its own right—it’s an experiential vehicle for delivering therapeutic ideas and establishing therapeutic associations in the client’s subjective experience. Is there empirical evidence that hypnosis enhances treatment outcomes when employed in psychotherapy? The answer is unambiguous: Hypnosis has been empirically shown to enhance the effects of treatment in general, and CBT in particular, making treatment more effective and results more enduring. In this workshop, we will explore the therapeutic merits of integrating hypnotic approaches with CBT, highlighting the value of hypnosis as a means of teaching cognitive skills and empowering people to behave more effectively.
