more than 100 years later, yet a new landscape emerged as the
invention of the silicon chip heralded San Jose’’s
future as the world’s undisputed hub of high technology. |

Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.

Prelicensed members and associates may earn hours of experience
for attending CAMFT workshops upon Supervisor’s approval. |
| Continuing
Education / Hours Verification Process |
Each attendee
will receive a 2-part attendance verification form upon entering
all workshops—this form needs to be
completed by the recipient and submitted to the monitor or
staff attendant upon completing each workshop. Please note
that this process is important to follow as it serves as the “sign-in
and sign-out” process and serves as verification of attendance
for your records and CAMFT’s. No other verifications
will be supplied on-site or mailed at a later time. This is
your actual CE certificate. Sign-in sheets may also be utilized
to register your attendance in workshops—this process
also serves as a back-up mechanism in select workshops. In
addition, for luncheons and any other special CE event, attendees
must also submit their pre-printed tickets indicating their
names, which are checked against the roster of attendees and
the attendance verification forms. If you purchase a lunch
ticket from someone else, you must register your name with
CAMFT so that we can correctly transfer and process your attendance.
Please note, if tickets and appropriate registration fees are
not paid by the attendee then the CE hours will not be applicable. |

| Tax
Deductibility |
Pursuant
to the Revenue Act of 1987, we are required to advise you
that registration fees paid to CAMFT are not deductible
as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
However, current regulations permit an income tax deduction
for un-reimbursed educational expenses (registration fees,
cost of travel, lodging and 80 percent of the cost of meals)
undertaken to maintain or improve skills required for one’s
employment, or to meet the express written requirement
of an employer. Those who are employees are cautioned that
under the 1986 Tax Reform Act, their deductions for educational
expenses and other miscellaneous itemized deductions are
allowable only to the extent that the total of such deductions
for the year exceeds two percent of adjusted gross income.
Self employed registrants are not subject to this two percent
threshold. Conference expenses may be considered as ordinary
business expenses. |
