We are thrilled to announce that the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists will be gathering together again for its 45th Annual Conference, “Rendezvous: Connections and Renewal” at the Fairmont Hotel San Jose, April 30 through May 3, 2009. This Conference will include an informal art show featuring the creativity of CAMFT’s therapists to commence during the Wine and Cheese Reception, 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2009. Set-up should begin at 3 p.m. on Friday in high traffic areas, near CAMFT registration areas and exhibit hall, and will be seen by approximately 700+ conference attendees. If you are interested in showing your art at the conference, please note:
To confirm your art will be on display, please submit in writing the following information, along with a signed authorization: name of artist, the title of the piece(s), dimensions, medium(s) used, price (if the piece is for sale, if it is not for sale, please indicate “Not for Sale”), and the artist’s contact information. Please note that this information will be placed on a card and will be displayed adjacent to the art piece. CAMFT assumes no responsibility for the art and all artists displaying art must sign an authorization for CAMFT to display the art and assume liability for the art. Insurance is the sole responsibility of the artist. Please note that you should receive a confirmation from CAMFT following receipt of the above information. Please make sure that you retain the confirmation so that on-site CAMFT staff will know that there is a signed authorization on file. CAMFT assumes no responsibility for the transport, handling, exhibition, protection, set-up or removal of the displayed art. Artists must be able to hand deliver the artwork to the Fairmont Hotel San Jose by 3 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2009. Upon arrival, please check-in with a CAMFT Staff Member before placing any artwork. All artists agree to display their artwork until the conclusion of the Wine and Cheese Reception or until 7 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2009. Artists wishing to continue showing art throughout the Conference must set up the pieces each day and remove the art no later than 6 p.m. on Saturday / 3 p.m. on Sunday. Attendees wishing to purchase pieces will need to contact the artists directly. CAMFT Staff will not be responsible for transactions between artists and purchasers. Taxes or fees related to any purchase are the responsibility of the artist.
