Board Application Packet

Dear Member:

Thank you for your interest in running for a position on the CAMFT Board of Directors.  We appreciate your willingness to volunteer your leadership services to CAMFT.

Membership on the CAMFT Board of Directors is exciting, challenging, and demanding.  It provides the opportunity to shape the organization while fostering deep community with your professional colleagues.  The CAMFT Board is a “governing” board.  A governing board helps create the vision, mission, values, and policies for the organization and ensures that the principles and finances are properly respected.  (The Board, itself, does not actively run programs and services.)

As a Board member, you will be expected to attend four (4) quarterly meetings (including a meeting/lobbying trip to Washington, DC).  You will also be expected to represent the Board at the early winter 2014 Chapter Leadership Conference and the May 1-4, 2014 Annual Conference.  You will be invited to attend the May 16-19, 2013 Annual Conference and informal Board meeting (held in conjunction with the Annual Conference) as a guest of the current Board.   Finally, you will be expected to interact with the local offices of your state and federal legislators to educate the legislators and staff about the work of LMFTs and CAMFT.

Please review the following documents as you consider Board service:

In order to be considered by the Nominating Committee, you must submit a complete APPLICATON AND ESSAY QUESTIONS  by October 26, 2012. Please note that in order to view, fill out, or submit an application online, you will need the latest version of Adobe Reader. If you do not have Adobe Reader, you can download the FREE Reader here!  If you plan, instead, to have your name on the ballot by petition (instead of by nomination), please see the petition guidelines.

If you have questions, please contact Jill Epstein at jepstein@camft.org.  If you would like to attend a Board meeting as a guest to observe the process, please see the 2012-2013 Board meeting schedule.

Thank you, again, for your interest in serving CAMFT!
