will
take effect on July 1, 2008. to
access these standards on the CAMFT website, or call
CAMFT to have a copy mailed or faxed to you. Do not
destroy the old booklets, however, as the Procedures
for Handling an Ethical Complaint are still undergoing
revision, which should be completed within the next
year.
These new standards will be applicable to clinical,
supervisorial, and other situations that are in process
at the time the new standards take effect. Be
sure to read about some of the key changes in the
September/October issue of The Therapist. Members,
agencies, and educational institutions should acquire
and distribute the new standards for use in practice
and in training.
