Richard S. Leslie, CAMFT's attorney and legislative director from 1979 through 1999 is now involved with CAMFT in attempting to clarify the law with respect to dangerous patients and the therapists' duty to protect others from their patients' threatened violence. In an effort to
educate members as to the nature of the problem and the intricacies
of the issue, we are pleased to present you with the opportunity to
test yourself and to expand your knowledge in this critical and complicated
area of practice. Whether you need continuing education units or not,
you should not miss the learning opportunity this self-assessment
test offers. This test is sponsored by CAMFT in cooperation with Richard
Leslie, who conceived of and authored the test.

The purpose of the Mentor-Mentee Program is to unite licensed and prelicensed members in order to assist prelicensed member or newly licensed members with general questions concerning the profession and relevant issues. The goal of CAMFT is not to interfere with matters of supervision or traineeships but instead to offer a place to find counsel, on a voluntary basis, from clinical to prelicensed associates.
