Applying to Become a CAMFT-approved CE Provider

Initial Approval Fees

Application fee: $300 | $200 for Chapters and members who are individual CE providers

Establishment fee: $300 one-time fee due upon approval.

Provider’s start-up cost: $600 | $500 for Chapters and members who are individual CE providers.

Preparing to Apply

To familiarize yourself with the CEPA program and what the application process entails, download the CEPA Program Manual.

Applicants must show evidence of established methods to plan, present, evaluate, and continuously improve their CE courses using the standards and requirements in the program manual.

CE providers are approved based on their demonstrated ability to meet the required CE provider program components: CE Program Goals; Course Content; Instructor/Author Qualifications; Course Evaluation; and Program Management.

If you were a previously approved BBS CE Provider, you will need to fill out the Initial Application in order to establish yourself a provider with CAMFT.  The Renewal Applications are for CAMFT Approved Providers to fill out in subsequent years.

Applications may be submitted at any time.

How to Apply

  1. Download the Initial Approval Application
  2. Complete the application in its entirety
  3. Attach all supplemental materials
  4. Submit completed application with payment per the instructions in the Initial Application Guide.

Initial Application Review Process

The initial application and review is a rigorous process that involves extensive hands-on evaluation by the CEPA Committee.

The initial application process may take up to sixty (60) calendar days. When reviews have been completed, applications will be approved, deferred, or denied.

If you were a previously approved BBS CE Provider, you will need to fill out the Initial Application in order to establish yourself a provider with CAMFT.  The Renewal Applications are for CAMFT Approved Providers to fill out in subsequent years.

Annual Fees and Renewals

(All approved providers must pay an annual fee to maintain CAMFT-approved status.)

Annual Fee: $300 | $200 for Chapters and members who are individual CE providers.

Renewal Fee: There is no renewal application fee. However, at the time of renewal, CE providers must submit the annual fee with a renewal application.

Late Fee: $100 for annual fees or renewal applications not post-marked by the approval expiration date.
