Dear Members,
With all of the activity happening in our national government at the moment, I’ve been thinking about leadership. In all areas of life, we need effective leaders. At CAMFT, we are fortunate to have an amazing Board of Directors to work with executive staff to guide our association. Our Board is comprised of CAMFT members just like you, and they play a critical role in creating the vision for CAMFT. Serving on the Board is a great way to have a meaningful impact both on CAMFT and on the profession of marriage and family therapy. I encourage you to consider applying for a Board position! Fill out an application to run here – applications are due on October 25, so don’t delay. If you don’t think you’re ready for the CAMFT Board, we encourage you to get involved and even apply for a leadership role within your local CAMFT Chapter.
Another great way to get involved is to apply for a CAMFT scholarship or grant. Currently, the CAMFT Educational Foundation has 3 scholarships for Pre-licensee members and 1 award open to all members. The deadline to apply is November 1, 2019. I strongly encourage Pre-licensee members to apply!
If you need some CE hours before the end of the year, make sure to sign up for the Fall Symposium. You can earn up to 12 CEs, including 6 L&E hours, in just two days. Don’t miss this great opportunity to network and learn!
