Dear Members,

CAMFT wants you to vote in this year’s Board election! It is a contested election for three of the four open positions: President-Elect, Pre-licensed Director-at-Large, and Clinical Directors-at-Large. There is only one candidate for the Secretary position. Be sure to check your mailbox in the in the next few weeks for your election ballots.

I encourage you to learn more about these excellent candidates on the CAMFT website. You can read statements and any supplemental information provided. Additionally, a few of the candidates will be reaching out to the membership via email to rally votes. Per the California Corporations Code, candidates are allowed to communicate with members. To meet this law and protect your private information, these emails will be sent by CAMFT on behalf of the candidates. You will have the option to unsubscribe from each candidate’s mailing.

In years past, the CAMFT office closed for the day to count election ballots. This year, CAMFT has hired an off-site vendor to independently count the election ballots so that the CAMFT office can remain open to receive calls and service members. Our elections vendor is in Minnesota, so please vote and return your ballot in the postage-paid envelope to be counted on March 21, 2019.

CAMFT is a successful organization in large part due to the strength of its leadership. I want to encourage those of you who have been interested in getting more involved with CAMFT to think about leadership opportunities on a committee or with a local chapter.

We hope you’ll do your part and vote in the election to provide your voice to the Board of Directors and continue CAMFT’s ongoing growth!
