CAMFT’s 2021 – 2022 Elections have been completed, and CAMFT’s 2021 – 2022 Board of Directors is preparing to begin their governance term in June. CAMFT congratulates the new members who have been elected to the Board!

There are still 3 (three) vacant positions on the Board for Clinical Directors-at-Large. When there are vacancies on the Board of Directors, the Board appoints candidates to fill the vacant seats at the first Board meeting of the year. This year that meeting will be held June 5-6, 2021.

To Apply:  CAMFT is looking for strong candidates to apply for these vacancies. Members who wish to be considered by the Board of Directors for an appointment to fill the two-year term of the Board Clinical Director-at-Large should submit their completed 2021-2023 Clinical Director-at-Large Application, 3 professional references, and current resume to Jamie Strauss by close of business on Friday, April 30, 2021.  Applications received after this time will not be accepted.

The appointed candidates will serve from June 6, 2021, to May 31, 2023, and will be expected to attend the following events:

  • Board of Directors Meetings
    • June 5-6, 2021 – Virtual, via Zoom
    • September 11-12, 2021 – Virtual or Location TBD
    • December 4-5, 2021 – Virtual or Location TBD
    • March, 2022 – Date and Location TBD or Virtual
  • CAMFT Live Events
    • February, 2022 – CAMFT Leadership Conference (Virtual or Location TBD)
    • April, 2022 – CAMFT’s Annual Conference (Virtual or Location TBD)
  • Lobbying Trips
    • March, 2022 - Sacramento Lobby Day, Sacramento, California (tentative)

Limitations on Candidates Who May Apply

  • Only Clinical members of CAMFT may apply.
  • Applicants must have been voting members of CAMFT for at least two years prior to taking office on June 6, 2021, or have been a Pre-Licensed member and voting member consecutively for at least two years immediately prior to taking office on June 6, 2021. (See CAMFT Bylaws, Article VI, Section C(2)).
  • No person shall run for any position on the Board of Directors nor shall a person be appointed to any position on the Board of Directors, if such person, in serving out his or her present elected or appointed term, will have served on the Board of Directors for four (4) consecutive years or more, whether by appointment or election. (See CAMFT Bylaws, Article VI, Section C(3)).
