(1.5 CEs)

Workshop Description:

EMDR is a an evidence-based, highly effective modality for resolving trauma symptoms. Even if you’renot trained in EMDR, your clients may still benefit from this remarkable therapy - while continuing towork with you. Learn what EMDR is, how it works, and whether your clients with trauma histories mightbe a good fit for adjunct EMDR. This training will leave you with the information needed on when toethically refer a client out for EMDR, or else when to try other therapies first.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Define EMDR as a therapy modality.
  2. Identify three clinical reasons to refer a client for adjunct EMDR..
  3. Name three qualities each of a client who is a good fit, a possible fit, or not a fit for adjunctEMDR..
  4. Name the primary issue that makes someone not a good candidate for adjunct EMDR.
