Beginning July 1, 2023 the BBS is requiring new Course Content Requirements. Click Here.
The CEPA program was created to set a standard for continuing education by incorporating the BBS’ CE regulation requirements and best practices from other highly-regarded programs.
A CAMFT CEPA Committee evaluates CE providers based on the standards set forth in the three-part CEPA Program Handbook. Part one of the handbook, titled Guidelines for Provider Approval, specifies the criteria providers must meet to obtain and maintain approval. Part two of the handbook, titled Helpful Cheats and Examples, should be utilized when filling out the Initial Application using the suggestions and templates. Part three of the manual, titled Policies and Procedures, serves as an instructional guide for sustaining the CEPA program. The CEPA Committee monitors adherence to the Guidelines for Provider Approval through the initial approval, annual update reports, and a formal first-year and subsequent three-year review process.
