General

All advertising shall comply with the criteria specified for digital display or online advertising. CAMFT is not responsible for any claims made in an advertisement. Advertisers may not, without prior consent, incorporate in a subsequent advertisement the fact that a product or service has been advertised in a CAMFT publication. CAMFT’s acceptance of advertisements shall in no way imply a direct affiliation between CAMFT and its advertisers. The appearance of advertising on any CAMFT forum is neither a guarantee nor an endorsement by CAMFT of the product, service, or company or the claims made for the product in such advertising. As a matter of policy, CAMFT will sell advertising space to any advertiser when the content of the advertising does not interfere or directly conflict with the mission, policies, statements, objectives or interests of CAMFT. CAMFT, in its sole discretion, retains the right to decline any submitted advertisement or to discontinue posting of any advertisement previously accepted.

CAMFT does not accept print, electronic, or any other form of advertising, that is intended for publication by CAMFT, or inclusion in any CAMFT medium, which offers or promotes sexual orientation change efforts, reparative therapy, and/or conversion therapy.

Digital Advertising

Digital display ads should be submitted in a high resolution (300 dpi or higher) PDF, EPS, PNG, SVG, or JPG format sized to 800 x 650 px. We now offer three opportunities for digital display ad placements and you can bundle and save!

  • The Therapist digital magazine - the deadlines for ad orders in the The Therapist digital magazine are the 1st of the month prior to the issue (i.e., February 1st for the March/April issue).

  • Clinical Resources Library - ad orders for the Clinical Resources Library can be placed at anytime and the ad will be online for 2 months from placement of the ad order.

  • (New!) Monthly E-Newsletter - the deadlines for ad orders in the Monthly E-Newsletter are the 15th of the month prior to the issue (i.e., February 15th for the March issue).

Member Discount

CAMFT members will receive a discounted advertising rate for digital display ads. CAMFT chapters and educational institutions offering an LMFT program will receive the member discount for digital display ads.

Payment for Digital Display Ads

To place a digital advertisement, please email ads@camft.org. Upon receipt, CAMFT will issue an invoice. Invoices can be paid online, via mail, or over the phone. CAMFT does not give agency discounts. Advertising rates are subject to change without notice. CAMFT advertising is non-commissionable.
 

The Therapist magazine Solution Provider Article / Sponsored Post

Solution-Provider Articles are sponsored posts that provide an opportunity for you to publish an informative one-page feature that offers valuable insights to CAMFT members while showcasing your product or service.

  • Solution Provider Articles / sponsored posts must abide by the standards outlined in our Editorial Playbook and Guidelines.
  • CAMFT reserves the right to print the word “advertisement” adjacent to any post or advertisement that could possibly be misconstrued as editorial.  All advertising policies also apply to Solution Provider Articles that CAMFT chooses to include on its website, in digital publications, or in any print publication.
  • All advertisements, including Sponsored Posts like Solution Provider Articles and all text and graphics submitted for publication, whether in print, on the CAMFT Website or in one of CAMFT's e-publications, are subject to the approval of CAMFT. All advertisers must adhere to published advertising deadlines, in order to ensure adequate time for review by the CAMFT. The CAMFT reserves the right to reject any advertisement for any reason, at its sole discretion.
  • Generally, Solution Provider Articles should be roughly 800 words in length and contain information relevant to mental health clinicians, particularly Marriage and Family Therapists.
  • Value and Editorial Integrity of Sponsored Content
    • All paid advertorial content must provide clear, standalone value to members through substantive, informative, and relevant insights. Content that primarily serves as promotion does not meet this standard and should be contained in a standard advertisement instead.
    • The value of sponsored content should come from the quality of the expertise, analysis, or guidance offered, not simply from the contributor’s name or affiliation. Contributors are expected to add meaningful perspective that benefits the community.
    • Links to a sponsor’s website or a related landing page are permitted and may offer additional resources or optional lead-generation materials. However, the advertorial itself must deliver its core value independently and remain primarily informational.
    • Following this guideline will help establish an advertiser's brand as a credible, trustworthy subject matter expert for the community, realizing the full branding value of the advertorial.

 

Online Job Board & Classified Ads

Job Board and Classified Ad orders are submitted online. The fees to post a job board and classified ad on the CAMFT website are $30 for 30 days, $45 for 60 days, and $60 for 90 days.
