BYLAWS COMMITTEE

PURPOSE/FUNCTION:
The Bylaws Committee shall consider the advisability of bylaw amendments and amendments to the Articles of Incorporation, hear or review all proposed amendments and make recommendations to the board of directors of amendments to the bylaws and/or the Articles of Incorporation.

MEETINGS:
The Committee will meet, as needed, when directed by the Board of Directors. The Committee may not be directed to meet each Board year.

COMPOSITION:
The Committee shall be comprised of at least three (3) members, a majority of whom shall be clinical members of the association. Diversity in committee composition is desired.

TERM:
Committee members are appointed by, and serve at the pleasure of, the CAMFT Board of Directors for a term of one (1) year. A member may serve as Chair for up to two (2) years, if re-appointed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive and follow Board directions
  • Understand the California Corporations Code
  • Thoroughly review bylaws for possible amendments.
  • Committee members are required to sign: Committee Member Participation Agreement, Conflict of Interest Policy, Anti-Trust Compliance Policy, and Consent to Electronic Transmission
