JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Marketing Manager

BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for the development and execution of strategic marketing plans. In partnership with the Managing Director of Communications & Business Development, the Marketing Manager will assist with the development of short-term and long-term strategic marketing plans and implement campaigns. Support brand management and revenue generation for membership, education, sponsorship, and advertising programs. Provide measurable, branded, targeted and segmented, consumer/member driven marketing programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-create the overall strategic marketing for membership recruitment, education and event programs, and additional non-dues revenue
  • Write creative promotional copy and manage placement in emails, social media, and web
  • Ability to create social media live events
  • Research, report, and analyze data to guide future market planning
  • Create campaign calendars, analyses, and other reporting tools that will provide meaningful insight and measurable results on campaigns
  • Identify and create partnership opportunities that acquire advertisers
  • Identify and create partnership opportunities that acquire sponsorships and exhibitors
  • Review and edit materials as needed
  • Some CAMFT committee work as assigned
  • Oversee all marketing & advertising budgets; including appropriate budget reviews and verifying all invoices received are accurate
  • Develop and maintain CAMFT style guide & advertising/sponsorship rate sheet
  • Draft press releases and coordinate with marketing/social media consultants

Qualifications:

  • MFTs are encourage to apply
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Marketing or closely related field
  • Knowledge and competence with social media and other outreach platforms
  • Polished written and verbal communication abilities
  • Capable of being innovative and dynamic in approach to work
  • Strong leadership qualities and sound judgment with effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Highly resourceful team-player, who is a forward-looking thinker that actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Other Duties:

  • Stay up-to-date with other department projects
  • Responsive to home office (San Diego) through teleconference and occasionally in-person
  • Meet defined performance goals
  • Regular and punctual attendance required to meet essential function of job responsibilities

INTERNAL RELATIONSHIP:
Report to the Managing Director of Communications and Business Development. Frequent contact with Executive staff. Supervision of one employee may be assigned.

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIP:
Communicate with individual members, chapter board leaders, and committee members.

COMPENSATION: 
Salary Range: $76,694 - $85,366, salary commensurate with experience.

This position is classified as exempt.
