PRE-LICENSED COMMITTEE

PURPOSE/FUNCTION: 
The Pre-Licensed Committee will support Pre-licensed CAMFT members by giving voice to the unique concerns impacting Pre-licensees including, but not limited to internships, employment, involvement with CAMFT, self-care, career trainings, supervision concerns, and BBS issues.

COMPOSITION: 
The Pre-Licensed Committee shall consist of no less than two (2) Pre-Licensed members, including the Pre-Licensed Director-at-Large, and up to four (4) Pre-Licensed members and up to two (2) Clinical members. Diversity in committee composition is desired.

TERM: 
Pre-Licensed members serve one (1) year terms; Pre-Licensed Director-at-Large shall serve for the duration of his/her Board term. Clinical members serve two (2) year terms. Committee members are appointed by, and serve at the pleasure of, the CAMFT Board of Directors. A Pre-Licensed member may serve as Chair for up to two (2) years, if re-appointed and a Clinical member may serve as Chair for one (1) term (2 years).

MEETINGS: 
The Committee will meet via tele/videoconference as needed and will hold one (1) in-person meeting, if needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide content for regular Pre-licensed ENewsletters, to be edited and compiled by CAMFT staff, to share with CAMFT’s Pre-licensed membership and other stakeholders as determined
  • Provide a forum for Pre-Licensed members to evaluate ideas and solutions regarding Pre-Licensed issues
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to the Board regarding the needs, issues, and concerns of Pre-Licensed members
  • Committee members are required to sign: Committee Member Participation Agreement, Conflict of Interest Policy, Anti-Trust Compliance Policy, and Consent to Electronic Transmission.
