Advocacy Day Event Details

Date: Thursday, March 12, 2026

Time: 8:30AM to 4:00PM

Location: 1122 7th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

Cost: $45.00

(Includes training, scheduled visits, lunch, and photo at the Capitol). Attendees will be responsible for arranging and covering their own transportation, hotel accommodation and meals. Lunch will be provided. Request for refunds must be made in writing and received by CAMFT by February 12, 2026. The administrative fee for cancelation shall be $25.

Meeting with Legislators: The goal is to meet with at least one of your elected officials. Please note that sometimes last-minute schedule changes by the legislator’s offices can result in seeing regional leaders in lieu of your specific elected officials.

General Logistics: The event will take place in Sacramento, CA at the Capitol. The dress code is business/business casual. Comfortable shoes are always recommended as there will be a decent amount of walking.

Please Note: There will be no space to store luggage during Advocacy Day. If you are checking out of your hotel on the day of the event, we recommend leaving your luggage with the hotel’s bag check service before heading over to our meetings. Thank you for your understanding.

What to Bring

• Electronic Devices: Phones, cameras, and video recorders are allowed in the Capitol, with some restrictions. Inside the museum rooms on the first floor, no flash photography is allowed.
• Food and Beverages: Outside food and beverages are allowed; however some areas may be off limits.

What Not to Bring

•  Items Not Allowed: Guns, toy guns, ammunition, fireworks, knives, mace/pepper spray, razors and box cutters, and pointed object (this does not include pens/pencils) or anything that can be considered a weapon. Bags will not be permitted if they exceed the length of 14 inches wide x 13 inches high x 4 inches deep.

CAMFT will attempt to fulfill any special needs requests, if received at least 2 weeks prior to the event start date.

Consent to Use of Photographic and Video Images: CAMFT and its affiliates may be photographing, videotaping, audiotaping or webcasting CAMFT meetings, activities, and CAMFT-sponsored events. Registration, attendance at, and/or participation at any of these events constitute an agreement by the registrant or attendee to these activities and to the use and distribution of the registrant’s or attendee’s image, likeness, or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes.
