Dear Members,
You may have noticed something different if you have visited the CAMFT website recently—it has an entirely new look! We are really proud of the redesigned website, and we hope you’ll check it out.
The website changed because it is connected to our new association management software (AMS). The new AMS runs our database and operations needed to keep members connected to their benefits.
Changing the AMS is like moving into a new home. As you know, moving can be very stressful! You can’t find things that you know you packed, and you don’t know where the light switch is when you walk into a room. The same is true with an AMS and website move. When you change systems, little things that you’ve known how to do for years are suddenly new again, and everything takes time to figure out.
If you call in July, you might find that it takes staff a little longer to do things that in the past were done very quickly. When you first log-in to the new website, you may need to reset your password. These little bumps in the road are expected; this is part of the learning curve and adjustment to our new system.
Ultimately, this move is going to be so much better in the long run for you. We will be able to serve you more efficiently by being better able to track your membership dues, manage event registrations, send custom e-blasts, and much more. In the meanwhile, please be patient with CAMFT staff as we continue to learn our new system.

CEPA APPLICATION TIP FOR JULY:
“Applicants need to differentiate between goals and learning objectives. Educational goals are more global: growth, development, increases, etc., while learning objectives are more specific quantifiable: learn, identify, name, etc. An easy way to get learning objectives correct is to insert a number into the learning objective statement: ‘Participants at the end of the training will be able to identify four emotional expressions of trauma,’ or ‘Participants upon finishing the workshop will be able to name four attachment styles.’ The number prompts a statement that is measurable with a yes/no answer from participants at the conclusion of the training – NOT subjective qualitative growth to be experienced later in their practice.” – Ronald Mah, PhD, CEPA Committee Member."
