My career began in direct clinical practice, working as a therapist in non-profit, tribal, and crisis settings, and has grown to include leading teams through times of significant change and limited resources. Program development became both my craft and my compass, guiding me to design systems that foster collaboration, accountability, and resilience. These experiences deepened my conviction that ethical excellence is not static; it’s a living process that depends on reflection, integrity, and connection to purpose. I have seen firsthand how structure and ethics intersect to sustain both therapists and the communities we serve.
Today, my focus is on cultivating the next generation of clinicians. As a CAMFT-certified clinical supervisor, I emphasize reflective practice, cultural humility, and systems thinking. I teach therapists to navigate the intersection of compassion and ethics—skills essential for professional longevity and integrity. In this role, I’ve witnessed how mentorship transforms uncertainty into confidence and burnout into balance. I bring these same abilities—strategic thinking, ethical leadership, and collaborative problem-solving—to every professional space I enter. These strengths have allowed me to help teams translate values into action, build sustainable programs, and strengthen clinical standards across diverse settings.
Serving on the CAMFT Board represents a natural extension of this work. CAMFT’s strategic priorities—professional success, technology integration, and advocacy—resonate deeply with my experience. I have led initiatives that advance culturally responsive care in tribal and rural programs while balancing innovation with ethical safeguards. I understand the tension between progress and preservation, and how leadership decisions shape the day-to-day realities of therapists and clients.
On the Board, I aim to contribute a systems-level understanding of workforce sustainability—advocating for supervision reform, equitable reimbursement, and support for those serving marginalized communities. I will bring a pragmatic, inclusive approach grounded in research, informed by ethics, and strengthened by the lived experiences of clinicians in the field.
In return, I hope to gain a broader perspective on the challenges facing our profession statewide, to engage with colleagues whose vision and expertise can deepen my own leadership, and to help guide our collective response to the evolving landscape of mental health care.
I see service on the CAMFT Board as an opportunity to shape the future of our profession with clarity and courage. My commitment is to help create conditions where therapists can thrive—supported by sound policy, ethical leadership, and a strong professional community that reflects the diversity and heart of those we serve.
