Ann Amador, MA, LMFT, LPCC
Annie Amador, MA, LMFT, LPCC (she/her) is a practicing therapist specializing in ADHD, Autism, LGBTQIA+ identities, shame and learning to cope with big emotions.
She has a passion for empowering clients with information about neuroscience to help normalize their experiences. She graduated with an MA in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University and has been practicing since 2019. Outside the office, she loves to hike, run, bike, cook, read, and spend time with friends. She spends a lot of time contemplating the meaning of existence but also love goofing around and making bad jokes.

More than 15 million adults in the US have ADHD, and more than half of those were diagnosed as adults. The past few years have seen a marked increase of discussion of ADHD in adults, but many mental health professionals have only received very basic training on it. Myths and misunderstandings still circulate wildly.
This presentation covers what ADHD can look like in adult clients, assessment, and treatment strategies, all with a special emphasis on executive functioning issues. You'll learn how to spot ADHD in its many masks, ways to conceptualize what goes on in the ADHD brain, and how to support clients living with this unique brain flavor.
