Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE)
Saturday | May 6, 2023
3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
(1.5 CEs)

Workshop Description:

This introductory workshop includes a slide presentation on the basic theory of TRE, a facilitated experience of the Neurogenic Tremors, and debrief time with Q&A. Through seven simple exercises, TRE activates a gentle neuro-physiological tremoring response in the body. Such a natural response releases tension and contraction from the body due to everyday stress, traumatic experiences, vicarious trauma, and compassion fatigue. Created by Dr. Berceli, a bioenergetic therapist and clinical social worker, TRE is present in 78 countries, and over 7 million people have experienced it. In addition, many psychotherapists have been trained in TRE and share it with their clients.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will identify the three main concepts of the theory of TRE®.
  2. Participants will Identify the three key guidelines about how to practice TRE® safely and effectively.
  3. Participants will identify the three ways of self-regulating one's own tremoring experience so that one's physical sensations and emotions remain manageable and comfortable and feel safe.
  4.  Participants will identify the TRE tremoring response's three most commonly experienced benefits.
