The road to licensure for MFTs is changing. In this one-hour presentation, CAMFT Staff Attorney Kristin Roscoe will highlight what is staying the same and what is changing for AMFTs as they pursue licensure. From learning the number of renewals an AMFT may make before needing a subsequent registration number, opening up potential opportunities to continue to work in a private practice setting on a subsequent registration number, how long hours are valid for, and changes to the law and ethics exam, this will be a presentation not to miss!

  • Describe the changes to the AMFT registration and supervised-experience timelines, including the transition from a six-year to a seven-year framework.
  • Explain how the changes to the California Law and Ethics Examination and clinical examination requirements would affect an MFT’s path to licensure.
