NEW CO-SPONSORS FOR CAMFT’s MEDICARE BILL

Representatives Judy Chu (D- 27th) and Ted Lieu (D-33rd), legislators who have both co-sponsored CAMFT Medicare legislation in the past, have recently added their names as co-sponsors to the newest MFT Medicare bill, HR 945. CAMFT is planning another strong push for members in specific districts to contact their legislators. More information will be available soon.

Medicare (HR 945 and S 286): CAMFT’s priority on the federal landscape is to pass legislation that will allow LMFTs to receive reimbursement as Medicare providers. For the 2019-2020 Congress, CAMFT obtained bi-partisan co-authors in both the House and Senate (Sen. Barrasso (R-WY), Sen. Stabenow (D-MI), Rep. Thompson (DCA), and Rep. Katko (R-NY)).
