Dr. Karen Wall EdD, LMFT, RN-BC, OFS
Dr. Karen Wall, EdD, LMFT, RN-BC, OFS, is currently in private practice as an LMFT in NM and CA, and is also a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health registered Nurse for 32+ years. She retired from the US Army Nurse Corp after 23 years, and more recently from the VA where she was the Mental Health Nurse Educator, and the Dementia Care Coordinator for Long-Term Care services, and continues to provide support, training, consultation, and coaching for behavioral health care clinicians, especially those working with veterans who live with dementia, mental illness, and traumatic brain injuries. She is a volunteer clinician for Give An Hour, a non-profit, providing pro bono therapy to Veterans, Active Duty, and family members. She has been a long-time champion for telehealth and the use of mobile technology/apps as part of traditional therapy practice. She has authored several journal articles and a book chapter on telehealth and mobile apps competencies for ethical and competent use of technology.
