The American Medical Association’s CPT Editorial Panel will consider comments regarding proposed changes to certain current procedural terminology (CPT) codes, including several changes to certain CPT codes for psychotherapy services, at their upcoming meeting to be held on May 4-6, 2023. CAMFT has enrolled as an “interested party” to provide comments in support of proposed changes to these codes which would allow psychotherapists to bill for prolonged psychotherapy sessions, including individual and conjoint therapy sessions.
