As CAMFT Staff Attorney Brad Muldrow, JD, states in the video, therapists who are considering seeing clients who are currently outside of California via telehealth need to check with their malpractice insurance as well as the Licensing Board for the state in which the client is abiding. Contact information for other states’ Licensing Boards can be found here. If your client is sheltering-in-place internationally, you can contact the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors.
