All LMFTs (and LPCCs) will become eligible Medicare providers as of January 1, 2024. That means even LMFTs (and LPCCs) who do not want to be involved in Medicare will need to take the appropriate steps to opt out and inform their patients of their decision to opt out beginning January 1, 2024. For opt-out details, visit the Opt Out section of CAMFT’s Medicare Corner or contact your Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC). The MAC for providers who will be located in California at the time services are rendered is Noridian Health Solutions, LLC.
