The following notes highlight discussion and action from the CAMFT Board of Directors meeting, June 6-7, 2026, in San Diego, CA.
Chapter to Chapter Reception:
The CAMFT Board invited Board and local chapter leadership and members from Inland Empire, Orange County, San Diego, San Diego North County, and Southwest Riverside County chapters to an informal reception. The reception was well attended. These gatherings allow greater interaction from members at the local level with the CAMFT Board.
Financial Report:
The Board reviewed CAMFT’s financial statements through May 2026, including balances, revenue and expense variations, and investments. The financial report and budget revision were approved.
Strategic Plan Update:
The Board discussed technology updates and was presented with a new prospective program offering. The Board approved CAMFT’s new public tagline.
Governance:
The Board discussed the use of AI in applications for the Board of Directors and approved committee appointments.
Committee Descriptions Taskforce:
The Board approved the formation of a Taskforce to complete a review of committee descriptions.
Executive Director Update:
The Board was updated on staff operations, work on strategic priorities, and organizational growth.
The next Board meeting will be held September 19-20 in Lake Tahoe, CA.
