CHAPTER ADVISORY COUNCIL

PURPOSE/FUNCTION OF THE COUNCIL:
The Chapter Advisory Council serves our mutual membership and profession by facilitating communication and collaboration between chapters and CAMFT with the goal of increasing involvement, awareness, and membership.

MEETINGS:
The Chapter Advisory Council will meet bi-monthly via teleconference and possibly in-person and has on-going communication as necessary via the CAC Listserv.

COMPOSITION OF COUNCIL:
The CAMFT Chapter Advisory Council shall be comprised of no less than three (3) and up to seven  (7) chapter representatives, and the CAMFT President-Elect. Chapter representatives must be a current CAMFT Chapter member and have leadership experience within the chapter; additional, non-chapter leadership experience is a plus. Must complete an application and state personal vision for CAMFT/chapter partnership.

TERM:
Committee members are appointed and serve with the approval of the Board of Directors for a two (2) year term. Diversity in committee composition, including geography and size of chapter, is desired. A member may serve as Chair for one (1) term.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop incentives for CAMFT members to join local chapters
  • Collaborate on Chapter Leadership Conference agenda/program
  • Draft Chapter-oriented articles for The Therapist
  • Create resource list for Chapters
  • Participate with other chapter-related projects as needed
  • Committee members are required to sign: Committee Member Participation Agreement, Conflict of Interest Policy, Anti-Trust Compliance Policy, and Consent to Electronic Transmission.
