JUNE 2021 E-NEWSLETTER

At CAMFT, the Memorial Day weekend coincides with the turnover of the CAMFT Board of Directors. The outgoing Board’s last day was May 31, and the incoming Board took over effective June 1.

This year, the Board’s first action was to fill the incoming Board vacancies for three Clinical Director-at-Large positions (each for a two year term) and the Past President position (with a one year term). After thoughtful deliberation, the Board appointed the following members to these positions:

  • Shannon Hanrahan, Clinical Director-at-Large,
  • Ronald Mah, Clinical Director-at-Large,
  • Barbara Young, Clinical Director-at-Large, and
  • Bob Casanova, Past-President.

Congratulations to the newest members of the CAMFT Board! They join an excellent Board led by President Danah Williams, and we look forward to their service.

BOD 2021-2022

This time of transition also entails saying goodbye to the outgoing Board members. This year, four members rotated off of the Board:

  • Darshana Doshi, past Clinical Director-at-Large,
  • Nanci Finley, past Clinical Director-at-Large,
  • Kira Kayler, past Clinical Director-at-Large,
  • Katie Vernoy, past Clinical Director-at-Large and most recent Past-President.

Outgoing Board of Directors

It has been a true pleasure working with these amazing CAMFT members. Their passion, dedication, and support for the MFT profession is inspiring to me and to those with whom they work.

With deep gratitude for our Board of Directors, and for all CAMFT members,

Best,
Nabil El-Ghoroury, Ph.D., Executive Director
