NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AS FEE-FOR-SERVICE MEDI-CAL PROVIDERS

Within the last month, a number of our members who are incorporated as non-profit counseling organizations have reported that the Department of Health Care Services denied their Fee-For-Service Medi-Cal provider applications on the basis that any corporation offering professional services must be a professional corporation. CAMFT believes this determination to be in error and has reached out to the Department’s Deputy Director of Health Care Delivery Systems, Sarah Brooks, as well as the Department’s Provider Enrollment Division Chief, Tanya Homman, to request that this issue be immediately addressed.
