Welcome to another edition of the Pre-Licensed Newsletter.

My name is Rebecca Hines and I sit on CAMFT’s Board of Directors as the Pre-Licensed Director-at-Large. My role is to represent and support you – one of more than 10,000 pre-licensed members of CAMFT.

The Pre-Licensed Committee has been hard at work again to bring you information that we hope you’ll continue to find interesting, relevant, and helpful.

Ask the Committee
As a committee, we always enjoy sharing information with one another and talking about our experiences. So, this month, we thought it would be interesting to share some of those thoughts with you. Each of our committee members was asked to reflect on a different question. What you’ll find are our answers to:

• “What is something you wish they talked more about in Grad school?”
• “What advice would you give to someone just starting down the MFT path?”
• “What are some important things to consider as you work as a Pre-Licensed Clinician?”
• “What are your thoughts on starting a private practice?”

Pre-Licensed Resources 
If you haven’t done so already, we recommend checking out the CAMFT Pre-Licensed Guide to Thrive for helpful links and information about finding a supervisor, finding a job, joining a Chapter, and renewing your Associate registration.

BBS Request for Feedback
Finally, if you haven’t seen it yet, the BBS is asking for information from all registrants about barriers you’ve faced on your journey to licensure – no matter where you are in the process. The survey only takes about 10 minutes to complete and will help the BBS understand, and hopefully improve, the process. You’ll find the link here.
