Ambassador Program

Chapter Ambassadors

A big thank-you to all our amazing Chapter volunteers who will be visiting universities and promoting CAMFT and CHAPTER membership! Your time, energy, and enthusiasm make such a difference in helping students learn about the value of connection, community, and professional support.

Because of your efforts, more future MFTs are discovering the benefits of getting involved early—and that’s something to celebrate! We’re so grateful for all that you do to represent your Chapters and CAMFT with such warmth and dedication.

Overall Objective

The CAMFT Pre-Licensed Ambassador Program aims to strengthen the pipeline of future Marriage and Family Therapists by engaging with students early in their academic journey, introducing them to the benefits of CAMFT membership, and fostering long-term professional connections that support their growth from Pre-Licensed status through full licensure.

The Ambassadors are Chapter volunteers and CAMFT State Board members.

Program Goal

The goal of the CAMFT Pre-Licensed Ambassador Program is to equip chapter leaders and volunteers with the tools, training, and resources they need to effectively connect with universities, faculty, and students—ultimately:

  • Raising awareness of CAMFT and local chapter benefits.
  • Supporting students with career development, mentorship, scholarships, and professional networking opportunities.
  • Building sustainable relationships between CAMFT, its chapters, and academic institutions to ensure ongoing student engagement.
  • Encouraging lifelong membership and participation in the professional community.

Toolkit

The toolkit is provided to ensure Chapter Ambassadors are fully prepared and supported in their outreach efforts. It centralizes all the resources—training, scripts, contact lists, presentation materials, and FAQs—needed to confidently represent CAMFT, engage with universities, and connect students to the professional community. By offering consistent, ready-to-use tools, the toolkit makes the outreach process easier, more effective, and ensures a unified message across all Chapters.

The toolkit (primarily PDFs, Word documents, and links) will be updated regularly, so please check back for the latest version.
