August 2019 E-NEWSLETTER

Dear Members,

As summer winds down in the next few weeks, many of our Pre-licensee members will be returning back-to-school or completing their associate hours. Many licensed MFTs can remember the long and challenging journey on the road to licensure. It can be difficult to accrue the required supervised experience and find opportunities that provide a living wage. All LMFTs know how tough the last hurdle of passing the licensure exam can be.

Given the unique needs of our student and registered associate members, CAMFT is holding its first-ever Pre-licensee Conference, Licensure, Jobs, and So Much More!” at Pepperdine University, Malibu campus on September 14, 2019. This event will offer a full-day of presentations to help prepare our future MFTs:

  • How to land the job
  • Loan repayment, loan forgiveness, financial planning
  • Making the most of supervision
  • Preparing to take the clinical exam for the MFT license
  • Road to licensure

The conference will also include a Job Fair with many paid opportunities. If you’re a Pre-licensee member, student or registered Associate MFT, you will not want to miss this conference! Supervisors, teachers, or agency workers, please help spread the word!

I’d love to see you there!

Regards,
Nabil El-Ghoroury, Ph.D., Executive Director
