  • Room reservations:
    • Complimentary room for Presidents -
      • You should have received your confirmation # from mchampion@camft.org on December 31. If you need me to resend, please let me know
      • If for any reason you need to cancel your reservation, let me know ASAP at mchampion@camft.org
    • Self-pay rooms
      • You should have received your confirmation # from the hotel
      • Since you have a reservation in the CAMFT room block, please let me know ASAP at mchampion@camft.org if you need to cancel your reservation.  You will also need to cancel your reservation through the hotel.  Refer to hotel cancellation policy

Annual Reports: Due on February 28, 2025

  • In order to be compliant, Chapters are required to provide an Annual Report to CAMFT
  • Recommendations
    • Assign reports per board position, so that the President is not responsible for all the reports
    • Be sure to give yourself enough time to prepare the reports
    • Reports needed are: General, Membership, Financial, Events, DEIA+, and Pre-Licensed
    • To save you time drafting lengthy reports, links to a form with a few questions are provided
    • Some database reports are needed (member roster, financial reports, and list of events)
  • The Reports may be emailed all together OR separately to mchampion@camft

  • There are changes to the presentations and webinars offered to Chapters this year
  • Please take a moment to familarize yourself with which of the offerings have changed and which of the offerings will remain unchanged

  • Encourage your 2025 Board to attend the Chapter Leadership Conference (CLC)
  • Reserve your complimentary hotel room here ASAP, but  no later than Monday, January 6, 2025 
  • Share with your Board members that they need to request additional self-pay roms in the hotel room block here  no later than Monday, January 6 2025

Resources: Speaker Resource List

  • Staff created a Chapter speaker resource list in response to requests from Chapters needing speaker references
  • The list consists of the programs/events submitted by the chapters to CAMFT to add to the Chapter events portion of the website and the monthly e-blasts
  • A quarterly update is provided to the chapter leaders via the Events Listserv and the leader e-newsletter
  • CAMFT does not endorse any speakers on the list. The list will be provided in the first week of January, April, July, and October 2025

2025 Presentations reminder:  2025 CAMFT Presentations offered to Chapters

  • There are changes to some of the presentations/webinars CAMFT offers Chapters annually
  • Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with which of the offerings have changes and which of the offerings will remain unchanged
  • No changes: SOP in-person, L&E revenue share program, and L&E in-person
  • Changes: SOP webinars and RTL webinars

NO CHANGE from 2024

  • State of the Profession (SOP)—In-Person
    • Chapters are eligible to receive one-in-person presentation in 2025
    • Since the presentation is only a 1 CE/90-minute presentation, Chapters are encouraged to combine it with e.g., their Annual Meeting, Lunch & Learn, "Meet the Board" reception, or Pre-Licensed event
    • Dates are available on a first-come, first-served basis

  • Law & Ethics (L&E) Webinars—Revenue Share Program
    • The L&E revenue share program was a huge success, so it will continue in 2025
    • To date, the Chapters participating in the program received 19,260

  • Law & Ethics (L&E) — In-Person
    • Limited spots are available

Changes from 2024

  • State of the Profession (SOP)  - Webinars
    • In 2025, Chapters will no longer host the SOP webinars
    • Instead, CAMFT will be offering the SOP webinars to all CAMFT members
    • Registration will be through CAMFT and Chapters are encouraged to promote the webinars to their members
    • The webinar information will be posted on the CAMFT website as soon as the date is confirmed
    • BONUS: Updates will be provided through the Chapter Leader e-newsletters here
  • Road to Licensure (RTL) - Webinars
    • In 2025, Chapters will no longer host the RTL webinars
    • Instead, CAMFT will be offering the RTL webinar and recordings to all CAMFT members
    • Registration will be through CAMFT and Chapters are encouraged to promote the webinar to their members
    • The RTL webinar is scheduled for April 11, 2025, at 900 am - Noon
    • BONUS #1: CAMFT members may attend for free. Updates will be provided through the Chapter Leader e-newsletters here
    • BONUS #2: Chapters will receive email addresses of non-CAMFT  and non-Chapter member attendees, so that they can include them in their membership outreach effort

Resources: Add/Drop Reports

  • Be on the lookout for this report in February
  • CAMFT provides chapters with quarterly reports of dropped and current CAMFT members in their catchment area. Full contact information is provided.  Chapters are encouraged to utilize these reports in their membership recruitment and marketing effort.  Please note: these lists are not for personal use
  • Chapters will receive the reports in February, May, August, and November 2025

Tip:  Member Engagement Is Everyone's Business

  • As Chapter Boards compete for their members' time, it's imperative to get the entire Chapter involved in engaging members—even your sponsors!

Tip: Adapt Your Marketing Approach To Connect and Build Trust

Tip: Use the Chapter L&E Revenue Share program as a marketing tool

  • Here is how:
    • Once your Chapter is signed up for the program, CAMFT will provide you with marketing images and registration links to the webinars
    • The first webinar is Friday, February 21, 2025: "Why Should I Care About the CAMFT Code of Ethics?" and will be presented by Mike Griffin, JD, CAMFT Staff Attorney
    • When your Chapter markets the CAMFT L&E Webinars to the members and non-members in your catchment area, you can especially market that chapter members will receive a $5 discount for every CAMFT L&E webinar they sign up for

  • Reminder: Only CAMFT members may be a member of a Chapter
  • Chapter members may not remember why they initially joined CAMFT as a Pre-Licensed member, so here is a list of reasons you can share with prospective CAMFT Pre-Licensed members

  • Scholarships & Grant: Three Scholarships and a grant are offered through CAMFT's Educational Foundation each year. Membership in CAMFT is one of the factors considered in the scholarship and grant selection process.​
  • Malpractice and Student Liability Insurance: Graduate student members are now eligible to receive FREE professional liability insurance coverage through CPH and Associates. Get the details.
