One of my greatest joys each November is taking a moment to express my gratitude for all you do on behalf of your Chapters. I sincerely appreciate the long hours, dedication, and tireless effort you give—often while balancing demanding workloads and family responsibilities. It’s a privilege to work alongside such committed and inspiring leaders. Thank you for all that you do!

Registration is Open: 2026 Chapter Leadership Conference

  • Who may attend?
    • 2026 Chapter Board members and Committee chairs
    • 2025-2026 Chapter Advisory Council members
    • 2025-2026 CAMFT State Board members
    • Attendees must be 18+ years old
  • Date:January 30-31, 2026
  • Time: From 1:00 pm on Friday until 4:15 pm on Saturday
  • Location: The Sheraton Resort San Diego, Bay Tower, at 1590 Harbor Island Dr, San Diego, CA 92101
  • Hotel room reservations: The Presidents receive a complimentary hotel room on Friday. Read more in the President section.
  • Need to know how and what to budget for the conference?  Read more in the Treasurer section.
  • Plan to arrive early, or stay another day, so that you can enjoy activities included in your (reduced) resort fee:
    • Daily 1-hour Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga for 2 guests
    • Daily 1-hour Standup Paddle Board Rental for 2 guests
    • Daily 1-hour bike/eBike Rental for 2 guests
    • Daily 1-hour Tennis, basketball, and Pickleball court access for 2 guests
    • Daily 30-minute Sauna use for 2 guests ( including lockers and showers), Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga for 2 guests

  • Tips for Success:
    • Assign report sections by board position—don’t leave it all to the President.
    • Complete reports throughout the year while the information is current and accessible.
    • Reports required: General, Membership, Financial, Events, DEIA+, and Pre-Licensed.
    • Use the provided online forms to simplify reporting—no lengthy writing required.
    • Include database reports (member roster, financial summary, event list).
    • Reports may be emailed individually or as one package to mchampion@camft.org

Invitation: Chapter Leader Forum – TODAY!

  • What better way to stay in touch with leaders from other chapters than meeting with them virtually throughout the year?
  • Chapter Board members and Committee Chairs are welcome to attend the forums.
  • We have created a safe space for you to share what works well for your chapter,  to ask for/share advice and resources, or relax and learn from your peers

2025 President Reminder: Ensure the 2026 President is aware of the CLC complimentary hotel room

  • Reserve early!
  • Click here to reserve the complimentary room on Friday, no later than Friday, December 26, 2025
  • CAMFT pays for the room and tax; incidental charges are on their own
  • If the President is unable to attend, another board member may take their place

  • None of us has enough time anymore
  • How do associations/chapters compete in an environment like this? Well, one way is to differentiate
  • Professionals need to connect. Create the space, place, and environment to enable connections like these

Treasurers/Secretaries/Chapter Admin

Reminder: Budget for your Board’s CLC 2026 travel, accommodation, and parking

  • Yes! Budgeting for your board members to attend is a legitimate expense
  • CAMFT provides:
    • Free registration to all board members and committee chairs
    • Friday reception and Saturday breakfast, lunch, and breaks for all attendees
    • A hotel room for the chapter President on Friday evening
  • The chapter is responsible for:
    • Additional hotel room nights for the President (other than Friday evening)
    • Hotel rooms for any other board members and committee chairs attending
    • Flight & ground transportation for the President, board members, and committee chairs attending
    • There is a FREE shuttle between the airport and the hotel
    • Parking: $25 per day and overnight (discounted rate)

Secretaries: Share your 2026 Board roster ASAP after your election

  • As soon as we have a list of your new board members, we can add them to our leader database, so they  have access to register for the CLC
  • Provide in Excel format: Please include names, positions, and emails (Should be the email that they are monitoring frequently; could be other than the chapter email)

CEPA/Education/Events

  • Law & Ethics Revenue Share Program: Webinars
    • Less work for Chapter volunteers ~ more Profit for the Chapters
    • The highest earner two years in a row received over $8,000

    • The 2026 agreement is available here.
  • State of the Profession (SOP): In-Person
    • Chapters are eligible to receive one in-person presentation in 2026
    • Since the presentation is only a 1 CE/90-minute presentation, Chapters are encouraged to combine it with their Annual Meeting, a Lunch meeting, a “Meet the Board” reception, a Pre-Licensed event, etc.
    • Dates are available on a first-come, first-served basis

  • The information contained in the reports is CONFIDENTIAL, but chapters have permission to use the information in their membership recruitment and retention efforts
  • The reports were emailed to Chapters on November 10, 2025
  • If you have not received the reports, or need to be added to the recipient list, please get in touch with mchampion@camft.org
